How do you feel about street photography? How would you feel if you were a subject of it? If someone saw me as an interesting enough subject to randomly snap a photograph with on the street i’d be thrilled, but I’ve been around people who have had a negative experience from people who they’ve taken photographs of.

I see street photography as a time capsule. I love freezing a moment in time that will never be relived again, there’s something magical in that. I also feel like street photography works so much better when it’s in black and white as apposed to colour. Colour street photography can be striking and work in it’s own way, but it communicates a completely different message to that of black and white street photography.

The last photograph in this thread was actually taken at Belton House back in the summer. There was just something really interesting about these fella’s just stood there chatting. Chatting about what we don’t know, are they old friends? Are they maybe not at all friends and just two friendly strangers that have stopped to have a chat with one another? I love the mystery behind these kind of photographs.
