Skegness Lincolnshire Got Moody!

Skegness, one of the most popular beaches here in Lincolnshire, some even go as far as calling it ‘skegvagas‘. I’m not entirely sure when these photographs were taken, they were in the 2016 folder in my archive but that’s as much as I know. As you can see from the third photograph in the series though, it was pretty empty and desolate, probably what skegness actually looked like a few weeks ago when lockdown was in it’s prime.

I love these pictures myself, in fact I am torn for my favourite between the first and third photograph here. I love how clean the first photo looks but I also like the hint of desaturated colour and the mimic of symmetry within the image. What about you? What do you think is the better image in this series?

I can’t wait to go back to Skegness at some point, hopefully this year but can’t be too sure with the way that things are at the moment with coronavirus but if I was to revisit what would you say I could improve on? I’d absolutely love to know, help me grow.

I love leading lines within photographs, they’re actually mega important for good images, its a form of composition that is worth looking into if you want to take better photographs. I might even write some posts for you if you’re maybe here and looking at bettering your photography skills.

These photographs were taken with a Fuji X-Pro 1 and 30mm lens. Edited using Adobe Lightroom.
