I’ve mentioned previously that Infrared is hard to edit, it’s quite a challenge to get different colours so, you can probably imagine my delight when I managed to achieve this beautiful pink infrared colouring for my images. I immediately saved the edit as a preset for future reference.
The sun was shining hard and so I grabbed my infrared camera and went to my favourite place to take photographs, the Bailgate, the absolute beating heart of the beautiful city of Lincoln. It’s just around the corner from me so it’s an easy, accessible location to go and shoot when you need to be out quick (You can never be sure when the weather is going to take a turn here in the UK)
I am a massive lover of pink and I’ve tried so many times over the past 4 years to try and get a nice colouring within my infrared images that wasn’t the standard yellow and blue or blue and white.
These photographs were taken with a Canon 400d IR conversion with a standard kit lens.
I love the freedom and creativity that comes with Infrared photography. You can really create a world of your dream colours, you can even compose multiple coloured images if you have the time and patience to do so, sometime in the future I will be doing this so, stay tuned for that.
What are you thoughts on these pictures? Do you like the colouring and what colour would you like me to try and achieve next??
