Outside My Window / Canon 6d

These are some of my favourite photographs from the year so far and that is simply because they were taken so simply, outside my window on a foggy morning with my zoom lens, just experimenting if you like.

Outside my Window

I’ve been desperate to get out and take some photographs of the fog but have not yet had the time to do so, so the fact that I was able to get something from the warmth of my own living room.

I think these photographs also look absolutely stunning in black and white, they most certainly didn’t give off the same effect when edited in colour and so I chose to completely erase the colour out of the image. There’s something so mysterious about foggy pictures. I challenge you with whatever equipment you have to take photographs out of your window and see what you can capture. You might surprise yourself with the results.

I am very interested to know what your favourite of these three shots is. For me, I am particularly favoured towards the second photograph in this post. I love the way that the birds are sat on the pilon and due to the fog you can see them easily and it makes a much more interesting photograph than what it would have done if the fog wasn’t there.
