Graffiti portraits

In these graffiti portraits are my brother, Andy and sister, Lucy. Again shot for a college project from back in 2015. (I cannot wait to start posting some of my new work and work that this website is all about showcasing but I feel it’s important to share with you these images to help you have a better understanding of my journey as a photographer.)

These portraits were shot in 2 different alley’s situated in the heart of Gainsborough town, Lincolnshire. I knew there was graffiti here to play with and that was the main backdrop for my images.

I got a lot of positive feedback from the tutors at college when it came to these photographs, they said that they really showcased how far i’d come as a photographer, not something I understood fully at the time however, now I kind of understand where they were coming from.

If I remember correctly, these images were taken using a Nikon of some sort, I can’t fully remember what Nikon it was but it was paired with a 35mm prime lens which I absolutely adored. I felt like it took such clean photographs.
