Blea Tarn Cumbria In Infrared
Blea Tarn Cumbria, it’s a beautiful place to visit if you’ve not been before. The lake district really has some beautiful places to offer and Blea Tarn is one of those. It’s not a particularly easy location to get to, but I’d go as far as saying it’s well worth the trip and scouting out just for a walk around the lake, let alone taking photographs.
Blea Tarn Cumbria
The weather wasn’t the best for Infrared photographs but when you’ve made a 6-hour trip (usually takes 4 which is long enough but we had a super long diversion to follow!) you don’t want to waste your journey so I was desperate to make the best of the weather. The photographs didn’t come out that bad either considering.
I did find upon editing that I had to bring out some old school editing techniques and tricks to get the most out of my images, which I haven’t done since I was a student at uni. Gradient tools, selective tools you name it it was more than likely used.

All the images on this page are taken with an Infrared converted Canon 400D. Please do not take any photographs without seeking permission from the photographer first.
Which edit’s did you like best? I think that I’m always going to be a huge fan of black and white infrared edits, I just can’t get enough of them, however some people really are drawn to those coloured infrared images. My go to colouring at the moment is green, it’s almost like a false reality vision. Let me know what you think in the comment’s below.
