A Rose Sunset Photograph

The sunset today was beautiful and therefore I jumped at the chance to take a photographs of the books stacked near my TV and the beautiful roses I bought myself for photographic purposes and that’s when this photograph, A Rose Sunset was born.

A Rose Sunset

This photograph was taken with a Canon 6D with a 50mm 1.4 and edited on my phone in VSCO.

I really love this image. I love how romantic it is, the rose, the books and the glow of the sunshine is just lovely. Usually my camera wouldn’t be close by and i’d usually not run to get it due to not leaving my 10 month alone in the room, but luckily, it was with me and I was able to quickly stage this.

What do you think of it? Is there anything you’d have done differently?

Personally I love the depth of field, shooting at such a shallow depth of field it’s hard to get exactly what you want in focus (especially when using auto focus – which is why most people go to use manual focus.)

Whilst the theme of the photo is quite romantic, if you look at the subjects of the books they’re not the most fitting books, but let’s not focus on that point.
